"Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions."--Oliver Wendell Holmes
Practicing the GYROTONIC® methodology first as a student, then a Certified Teacher, then a Pre-trainer, and now as a Master Trainer, has been a spiraling journey of much mind/body/spirit stretching. Where was this work in my early years? Latent, within, requiring the spark, the patience, the vision of Juliu Horvath.
I love and have trained in many movement disciplines, including dance, yoga, the Trager Approach, Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis, Continuum, and the long form of the Yang style of Tai Chi. All of this history and training informs my teaching (it's impossible for it not to), but how I identify myself now is as a teacher and practitioner of the GYROTONIC® Methodology.
As I continue to learn and to grow I am often called away from GYROTONIC® Boulder, either to learn or to teach. However, I am dedicated to the studio, to its teachers, its clientele, and the teachers who come from elsewhere to start or continue their education. I am gone now nearly 25% of the year, but when I'm at GYROTONIC® Boulder I am 100% present with all who come to move.
